The news, in one sentence
Canadian travel platform FlightHub, in its annual report "FlightHub Unveiled 2026", ranks Taghazout among the ten destinations to discover in the world — chosen for its surf, skate and beach culture. The news was picked up on 6 October by Le Matin, Hespress and Infomédiaire.
Why now
FlightHub says it plainly: the direct Montreal–Agadir route makes the whole region accessible from Quebec, and Taghazout is less than an hour from Agadir. Canadian travellers spend an average of fifteen nights in Morocco. In other words: visitors who land at Al Massira, stay two weeks, and are not going to sit still in a village.
The top-10 trap
When a village enters a world ranking, it fills up. And a surf village is not lived sitting down: the swell is better at Tamraght one morning, at Imsouane the next, dinner is in Agadir, the rest day in Aourir. Without a car, every outing becomes a taxi negotiation and a wait by the roadside — on other people's schedule, not yours. The ranking brings the crowds; the car is what sets you free from them.
Airport → Taghazout: an hour, not a day
Al Massira airport is south of Agadir, Taghazout about twenty kilometres to the north. With a car handed over at the airport, you cross Agadir and reach the village in about an hour — day or night, since pick-up is available 24 hours a day. And if you would rather arrive hands-free, the car can also be waiting for you at your hotel or surf camp in Taghazout, Tamraght or Aourir: delivery there is free.

Frequently asked questions
What exactly does FlightHub say?
That Taghazout is one of the ten destinations "to discover" in its "FlightHub Unveiled 2026" report, for a strong identity built on surf, skate and beach culture — and that the direct Montreal–Agadir route makes it accessible to North American travellers.
Do I need a 4x4 to get to Taghazout?
No. The coast road is paved all the way to the village and beyond; a standard car is enough. Our cars are meant for the road: avoid dirt tracks and sand.
Can the car be delivered straight to my surf camp?
Yes. In Taghazout, Tamraght and Aourir, delivery is free, to the address and at the time you give when you book.
