Dakhla is one of Morocco's most spectacular destinations: a 40 km peninsula set between the Atlantic Ocean and a turquoise lagoon, in the heart of the Sahara. Constant wind, shallow waters, white dunes: it's a paradise for kitesurfing and windsurfing, recognized worldwide. Dakhla is far from Agadir (1300 km, 14h drive or 1h30 flight). If you arrive by plane, a rental SUV is essential: the city is spread out, spots are 30-40 km away, tracks lead to the best corners. Long distances, few stations, plan ahead. Beyond kitesurfing, Dakhla offers unique landscapes: Dragon Island, White Dune, Asmaa hot springs, flamingo watching, tasting of local oysters (the best in Morocco).
